STRIP AMBIENT PLAYER

Strip are Lisbon based duo of finnish musician Jari Marjamäki (who also records as Zentex for labels like Traum, Kickboxer, Archipel, Resopal etc.) and portuguese João Tiago Barra (jazz drummer known from his participation in bands like New Naked Sounds, Ovo, Bjazz and Le Mistére Du Tón). The concept behind this project is very simple: 100% improvised live experimentation. Each live session is begun on a blank template. No sync is being used, no sounds or structures are pre-recorded, sequenced, programmed of even thought up before the beginning of each set. From this point on, the two construct unique pieces using whatever sound is picked up from their instruments at that moment, resulting to musical pieces that will never be played or heard again after that particular session. The songs appearing here are parts extracted from some of those sessions, recorded live without overdubs. if you like our stuff please drop us a line.
